Help! I need car insurance and dmv legal advice.?

Two days ago, I scrapped a person's car in the parking lot. it looked like cosmetic damage--the paint was peeled off. he wasn't there but i left him contact info and the bill is 1700.00. I'm just wondering if it is better to let my allstate handle it. I don't mind if the car insurance skyrocked, i'm just really worry that my license will be nailed (and i have a long commute for college). I have got into a minor accident several months before (my fault), and another bumper-to-bumper hit last year (my fault). So my question is, ';does the dmv nail my license, considering my record?'; is it like strike three and your out kind of thing?Help! I need car insurance and dmv legal advice.?
Were any of the accidents reported to the police? If not, your insurance is not going to report it to them. I would have your insurance pay for it if you can't afford it. If you have a company like State Farm or Allstate, they may not renew you due to your driving record. If you have Progressive, they are not going to do that, they will just charge you more premium. Have you ever thought about taking a defensive driving class? You may learn things that will keep you out of more accidents!!Help! I need car insurance and dmv legal advice.?
If the police was not involved, than the DMV will not be notified of the accident, hence no problem with your license. If the police was notified, than you'll have points added to your license %26amp; every state works different on the amount of violations or points one is allowed against their license. The biggest problem you have to worry about is your insurance, for the fact that if you have several accidents on your insurance record (accidents stay on your record for 3-5 years depending upon state laws %26amp; the company you have), than the insurance may consider you high risk %26amp; your rates could be as much as 5x higher than someone with no accidents, alogn with the fact that they may consider you too high risk %26amp; to much pay out that they've had to do, and the underwriters with the company you have your policy through could deny a renewal.
No doubt the easiest way to get insurance quotes is on the web.

Why would you waste your time on the phone calling around?

the last time i needed quotes on insurance i used one of these comparison sites and it was great.

this is the site i used and it was quick like less than 5 mins.

The last thing I want to do is listen to elevator music while waiting for a salesman.

Anyway I got good quotes and ended up saving money so I was happy.

So shop around and compare quotes which is easy on the net.

Good starting point is at this site.
