Well I moved away from VA for about 2 years and then I returned divorced (of course) to start my life over. I found out that my license is suspended in VA but this is the kicker I never had a VA drivers license. Im trying to get a VA license but they wont give it to me because my ex-husband was driving with no insurance but my name was on the policy. I want to know is can i fight this. I shouldnt have to be made to pay his fines. All help is needed. Thank you.Legal advice with suspended license.?

Wow, that's a unique one I haven't seen. Unfortunately, despite it being the answer for every question in here, ';get a lawyer'; is really the only answer for this. You need someone to get this off your record since it's clearly not you and I doubt you can do it without legal council. You got screwed on this one, it might take a little time but you should get it cleared up.
It sounds like the State generated a license number for you for some reason, and then it was suspended because of the insurance issue.
You will probably need to find an attorney who is well versed in this matter to sort through it.
