I live in Delhi. My wife has given a false complaint against me in Mahila Thana, Gwalior mentioning Demand of Dowary and mental harrasement. While I was not at home, a policeman from above thana visited my residence served notice to my neighbour (after my neighbour talked to me on phone as I was not at home) instructing me to appear in Mahila Thana, Gwalior on comming Sunday to give my statement. nothing wrong in visiting the police station along with lawyer or a next friend.no person will be arrested without any charge against him.not cooperating with the police in the investigation process may constitute an offense.you can give ur statement before the police officer.
